Type of a scam Tax Collection
They called saying I was being sued because I hadn’t responded to forms they had sent. They told me I owed back taxes from 2013 and that if I did not handle this I would be arrested. When I told them I wasn’t going to answer any more questions without an attorney they said an attorney could no longer help me. They tried to keep me on the phone to settle the matter. It was terrifying. If my manager hadn’t informed me it was a scam and to tell them I would need to speak to an attorney I fear I would have fallen for the scam!!
