For months I’ve been getting calls from the "Department of Labor" asking me for information about my business. The first person, a woman, also followed up with printed material that looked official and gave me enough info that I believed them. Today someone different called to "verify the description of my business" and when I pushed back, said, "I’m not trying to get any personal information I just want to verify the description of what you do" but then proceeded to ask me if my address was correct, so I hung up. Frankly, I googled "why does the department of labor keep calling me" because I thought these calls were related to the Trump administration & wanted to get to the bottom of it, but then I saw that there is an ongoing scam where people pretend to be from the Department of Labor and eventually try to get $$. I still don’t know what’s up with all these calls, but it doesn’t feel right. I hope the info I provided earlier went to a legitimate source.
