Type of a scam Tech Support
A gentleman calls this evening saying he is tech support for my computer saying my computer needs fixed, problems with it. I say is this Dell. Yes. Tells me his name is "Mic". Asks how I am doing and going to say his name again. Then kind of embarrassed, then in a Very Abrupt & forceful in his foreign voice (India?) says Go Get Your Computer Now, It Needs Fixed Now. I say I am busy right now, What? I say I will call you back when it is convienent for me, what is your phone? # 408-890-2221 & he says his name is Mic. You don’t call a person on the phone and then boss them around & say get your computer now, It Needs Fixed. You don’t give a person a phone # that is not Toll-Free if you are a business, usually….You make it as easy for a customer as possible to return your call. I have rec’d numerous calls about tech support for my computer & needs fixed now & sometime they call & say Microsoft tech support. Be careful, don’t fall for this scam.
