Type of a scam Employment
I receieved an e-mail thinking that it was my college work study offering a position as a personal assistant. I accepted and was put into contact with the listed email, through which I was informed that I had been hired as a remote assistant for a new company, DeliveryNerds LLC., and would be paid $250 per week for my work as assistant. The "employer" was occasionally aggressive in correspondence, and informed me that they would be sending me a check that would cover both my pay and a donation to an "orphanage" of her choosing. The check was tracked from California for a Denver company, yet listed a NY address for the return. I informed the employer I had received the check, and they were aggressive in requesting that I deposit the check as soon as possible.
