Type of a scam Credit Repair/Debt Relief
Company sends a letter with "IMPORTANT SECOND NOTICE" notation and says you have "Estimated Credit Card Balances" of $16,000.00 and makes a "Proposed Settlement Offer" of $8,000. It also says to "Call No Later Than…" to put an artificial deadline on you. I have absolutely no debt whatsoever, so this is just a marketing ploy likely to get you to refinance debt with them so they can get fees and/or interest. They are playing a numbers game with their mailing list, knowing some people receiving the notice will either have debt, or think they have debt they aren’t aware of based on the false urgency implied in the notice, to get them to call their 1-800 number. Be careful!
