They contacted me and left a voicemail that stated they needed to contact "You" no names concerning an important matter. I made the mistake of answering when they called back and pressing a number to get more information. They also contacted my husband. They stated they could not release any information until they confirmed the last 4 digits of my husbands SS, which they had. Even though they stated they could only speak with my husband, they released all the information to me. They were trying to collect on an old debt and could settle with us so it would not go to a civil court to be filed. I contacted the company this old debt was supposedly from and they show our account closed and past any collection attempt statue of limitations.
