Automated phone call from various numbers in your area (generally cloned numbers) that explain that your vehicle warranty has expired and that they will help you renew if you stay on the line and talk to their representative. None of the representatives will have any clue as to your vehicle make or model or purchase date or start date of your old warranty (assuming you had one). DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION. That is how the scam begins. By getting the information from your car or your financial information to supposedly purchase a new policy.
