Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
On February 28, 2018, answered my ad on Craigslist.com inquiring about a computer printer. He claimed he was in the military and was having a number of items picked up in my area. The check would come via FedEx March 1st by 12:00pm. He even had his wife. March 1st came and went with no check. He texted twice to see if I had gotten the check. I told him no and that I wanted out because I thought the money was missing. He persisted. I had the check held at the FedEx in San Marcos because I couldn’t wait any longer. March7th, he texted me saying the check was sent yesterday and was delivered that morning. It wasn’t. I texted him back and asked him if it was still at the San Marcos FedEx. I received no answer. I went to San Marcos and they said it would be delivered to my home by 12pm that day. Then the text confirming that came. So far, I have yet to get a check.
