Type of a scam Rental
Saw the ad for the home on craigslist. Contacted the seller who had it up for rent for an unusually low price. Seller immediately asked for a phone call and then called us. We asked him if we could put a deposit down to hold the home and he said yes. He asked if we could come to see the home right now, we are far away from the home and its 6:15 pm which is also unusual. We asked when did he purchase the home, he responded "I’ve had it for a long time". We then hung up, looked up the owner of the home on public records and it turns out to be owned by Progress Residential not Dave Ben.
