Type of a scam Employment

I was applying for jobs and I received an email saying I didn’t get the position I applied for, but they offered me a position to be an assistant. They asked for my address and phone number so I sent it. They said they would be in touch. In the email I received, the employer said that he’s out of the country on business for whatever amount of weeks. The pay is 548 weekly. He was going to send me a check, after I deposit the check, I’m supposed to send a copy of my bank deposit slip, take my money out, then donate the money to his charity. I realized this was a scam after I received 2 different emails stating the same thing from different employers. I received an email with a tracking number and I was supposed to reply and say I received it. I got text messages asking if I got the email. I got the fake check in the mail. As good as it seemed, I did not deposit it. I’m already broke, I’m not going to deposit a fake check into my account and owe the bank of 2,900 dollars. I can only attach 1 picture so I’ll send a screen shot of email. I have more information if needed. I hope this doesn’t happen to anybody!!
