I got a message in May that my computer had been hacked and that Microsoft froze it. I couldn’t access it without help. The first "help" was a scam and I was hacked again, complained to Discover that it was a scam. They researched it and credited my account for the charges I was hacked again and another company of techs "Cyrus" said they would clean up all of the mess, for $299. At that point I was still using my computer for board minutes for an organization I serve. I paid it, got use of my computer back and then yesterday they called me back to say there were more problems and they were coming from my tablet or cell. Wanted another $50 to cover everything but had to credit the first $299 and recharge entire $350. Yesterday they called and said I had more problems, wanted me to scan the back of my drivers license, wanted to know if I lived alone and I watched them scan through all of my files – even asking if I did my banking on line I don’t. I called this morning to complain that no credit was ever forthcoming and was told someone would call me in an hour I’m headed to my bank to see if I can get help there with removing these obviously bogus charges from my bank card. I don’t know what to do about future "hacks" but will take my computer to *** *** ** *** *** *** *
