I ordered a swimsuit from curvy waves the beginning of September. It is now, the end of October. And no swimsuit. I have sent two emails which received nothing back in return. Tried the phone number, the phone number is not a working number. I went to my bank, try to stop payment on the $38.94 I spent on the bathing suits, and that has been 2 weeks and I have heard nothing back either. This website is a scam!
Very similar experience. I ordered one swim suit on June 11, got the email on June 12th saying because of covid expect 2 week delay… Its not October and nothing, emailed them to question no response. Weird thing I’ve noticed is that my tracking number has changed the first one said waiting to be shipped and the second one now says its on transit. At thus point i could receive a doll size swim suit and be happy just to get anything.
They need to be reported to the state attorney general..and better business bureau.
I ordered a swimsuit on May 28th, I received an email stating suit was shipped on May 31st. I wrote several emails to company asking why I hadnt received it yet. Received no response from them. Called number, like others mentioned, its disconnected. I got another notice stating it shipped on July 20th. We finally received it August 20th. Cute suit, but summer is almost over! I have never had a pkg take this long in shipping!
I ordered 1 swimsuit on July 19, 2020. It is now September 4. I still have not received it. The phone number listed “cannot be completed as dialed.” I’ve tried to online chat with customer service, which is all in some kind of Asian language, that I cannot understand. I’ve emailed them twice and never heard back! I want my $30 back! This is illegal! Someone help me!

Placed an order and did not receive it for 2 months. When I did and needed to return the item (didn’t fit properly), I emailed them as per the website to initiate a return but did not receive a response. I emailed a second time a few days later – still no response. I also tried calling the phone number on their website but it says it is not in service!
Same thing happened to me. I made copies of my receipts because they don’t include one in the order. Under their return policy you have to send the products back to Canada … which cost me 32.00. I had a 75.00 order so I figured at least I could recoup some of the money. I’m afraid I won’t get refunded. I regret dealing with this company at all. I feel totally ripped off!
Took well over 2 months for my order to arrive. Also Customer Service (if you can call it that) never responded to the follow up email I sent. 1 star. Do not recommend. I will not be ordering from this company again.
***IMPORTANT – PLEASE READ THIS***
To get your refund, is all you have to do: Call your bank to get your full refund, submit proof of purchase along with screen shots of testimonials like these.
You are absolutely not going to get a refund, or even a response, from Curvy Waves. They have NOT responded to their e-mails since before the pandemic. Before that time, their business practices were shady and suspect. If your bank requires further proof of the company’s deceipt, then screenshot other reputable websites (like the Better Business Bureau) to show proof of Curvy Wave’s con game. Again, most banks require proof of fraud. Screenshot and submit the reviews to your bank when you file your complaint (your individual bank may require different things from you, or nothing at all. It just depends on your bank’s fraud policy).
Some twisted person is making thousands of dollars out of unassuming customers. Curvy Waves isn’t a company – it’s a scam site run by Shopify. I’ve already complained to them, and reported the scam to my bank (got a full refund, too).
Proof of the scam:
This fake company runs under the guise of a legitimate business. Look at the About Me section of the Curvy Waves website. It features a photograph of a beautiful woman beside a wholesome monologue with “girl power” tropes. If you do a “reverse image search” on the photo of the so-called founder, Melissa Aurora, you’ll find that the site’s web designer used an old stock photo of a Russian woman. The phone number has never worked, and several other fraudulent online point-of-sales use the same number on their webstores. Pretty Little Bikini, and an online shoe store, are ALL linked to the same disconnected phone number, they ALL use stock photos and fake “About Me” stories.
I went a step further, and did a reverse image search for ten or so of the bathing suits on CW’s website. The images of the bathing suits originate from a myriad of places, most of which being defunct Russian online stores. I will not link them here, since the sites may contain viruses. I will post screenshots for you. Other sites that contained the same products include Ebay and Overstock. This proves that their product stock never actually belonged to this brand originally, which strengthens the notion that Melissa Aurora (the site’s company owner/found) never existed.
These are some clever thieves.
I have filed a complaint with my bank, Shopify, and also with the BBB. I considered going to the FBI about this. Before I realized I was scammed, I sent the company several e-mails (no response, of course). I also tried calling the number, which was disconnected. They even blocked me on their Instagram page, so I made a new one and called them out further 🙂
There are complaints by the thousands on Instagram, Youtube, and online about this crooked site. I should have done my research before hand – but heck, the site looked so legitimate. Buyer beware, I guess.
Sorry that this happened to you, ladies. I hope my advice helped some.
Warm regards, Joanna
I, too, wish i had done my research before giving them my $$$.
I’ve been waiting on 1 swimsuit since July! Im just curious if you have had luck going to your bank and getting THEM to issue a refund for your purchase?
I have not tried to yet. I guess part of me is still hoping I get my damn bathing suit!
Thank you for all of the info you shared!
I did finally receive my swimsuit I ordered and I love it. Not sure why it took as long as it did.
How long did it take?
This is NOT LEGIT. If its too good to be true it, it is. I ordered two swimsuits that NEVER came. Luckily I ordered from another site and got my swim suit before leaving on vacation. Let me save you time go to SWIM SUITS FOR ALL. Great swim wear and you do get your merchandise.
I loved my suit that I ordered from Swimsuits For All! Stupid me, left it hanging in the bathroom of our hotel room in Ocean City, MD! I discovered I left it there as soon as I got home-maybe an hour later! I called the hotel, the receptionist said she was going to go check-never heard back. I called again the next 2 days and was always told the same thing-going to look for it, but never called back!
I loved that damn bathing suit! I literally wore the thing 3 times!😭😭
Anyway-glad to hear you liked yours as well. AND got it in time for Vacay!
I’m the dummy not understanding the “extra swimsuit” button! You guessed it – I ordered TWO swimsuits AND I got the extra swimsuit at a discounted price. So now I have paid for FOUR swimsuits to a total of about 150 USD!
I do lots of buying and selling on the internet, and this is the first time I have ever been stolen from. And that’s exactly what it is – THEFT. I paid through PayPal, so I’m checking that out next. By the way, the phone numbers are international numbers. If I remember correctly, there are other numbers in front of the ones they have published – a country number?
Email me at [email protected] if you have a moment – to let me know if anything came of your order and payment. Still, I am hoping to have a swimming suit – let me know how your story ends. Thanks!

Hi there, Barbara! I’ve complained to the BBB and FBI about them 🙂 They run a myriad of other scam sites. Here is some proof of their con. I am sorry this happened to us.
Warm regards,
Joanna
I ordered two swimsuits in June of 2020 this year. You are not able to call them or contact them. Why do we allow these companies to take advantage of the American consumer? I’m out over $6500 and no way to get money back or my order.
I ordered 2 Tankini’s from this company in June 2020 and now it’s August. Swimsuit season is almost over. You can’t email or call this company. Did receive a text that because of COVID 19 they are having trouble filling the orders. I’m just sick of other countries take advantage of the American Public Consumers. I’m out over $65.00 and still have nothing to show for it.
I have had the same experience. I ordered two swimsuits in June 2020. They took over $65.00 of my money and located in Australia. Still no swimsuits. I guess they will appear when the snow flies in Oklahoma
2 months ago I ordered 2 swimsuits, then I ordered another a week later. I got scammed, too. I always ck reviews ahead but I didn’t find any on them. They took about $85. Just hope they need the money more than me!
I placed an order on July 5, I have tried to reach this company via their customer service and constantly have been told the items have shipped. My order is still sitting in processing. It has been over a month and they will not refund my credit card.
DO NOT under any circumstances order from this company! They just take your money.
They will not refund you, dear. They are not a real company. Go ahead and start a fraud claim with your bank. Submit a screenshot of the reviews featured here. If the require futher proof, feel free to send them the following pictures 🙂 It’s the research I’ve done on the site’s owner in the About Me section, along with proof that their products aren’t real. Rather, the website features stolen images.

I purchased a bathing suit from a website called curvywaves.com for $38.94 after shipping. I was warned that the item might take one to three weeks to arrive. It has now been over a month and any attempts to contact by email have gone unanswered and their phone number is not a real phone number. This made me look into the company online and I see that MANY other people have had a similar experience with this company.
They’re a scam, dear. You’re never going to get your product, but banks typically refund your money. If your bank needs proof of the scam, screenshot this website’s reviews, and submit the following pictures 🙂 I hope this helps!
Ordered 2 suits from CurvyWaves in May. Received an automated response that due to covid-19 there may be a delay. It is now August and my emails for update requests are bouncing back.
Basically the same experience as everyone else here. I ordered 2 bathing suits in june and still nothing. No working phone number no contact info at all. Please is there a way to have their site taken down.
Don’t be scammed like I was. I wish I would have seen the reviews for this website before I placed an order with Swimcurvy.com. I bought a tankini at the beginning of June. It arrived the beginning of July. They sent me a one piece swimsuit instead – something I do not wear. I have been writing with them literally every single day. They respond each time. They just won’t honor their own return policy. This is a total 100% scam. Don’t order from this website. You’ll save yourself time, money and aggravation.
At least you received something. I received nothing and they won’t refund my money.
DO NOT order from curvy waves! I ordered a bathing suit in June and NEVER got any response except to say that due to covid there are delivery delays, nothing more ever! There is absolutely no way of tracking your order and no way of contacting them! The telephone number, email and even the links are not available! This is absolutely a scam!
Please please do not give these people your money!
I ordered a swimsuit on May 18, 2020. I’ve asked repeatedly for a tracking number thru email and have only gotten a reply that item has been shipped. I’ve tried to call but the number is no longer in service. Summer is fast disappearing and I’ve a beach trip fast approaching. I want my item or my money back!
I ordered a bathing suit in May. Received a conformation, then got an email it was shipped ,told to allow 1-3 weeks for delivery. I have repeatedly emailed them,no response. The contact page shows a statement 404 page does not exist. It is now August 1st and still no bathing suit. I am out $37.45. This company is obviously a scam company. The Today show promoted this company. They need to check out companies themselves before promoting them. I still, everyday since May receive emails from this company trying to get me to buy more. I also have gotten messages on my phone offering discounts and free shipping. They charged me $8.95 shipping for the order I never received.
I ordered May 19th. No order received. They were quick to take my money, but still haven’t sent anything. I’ve been asking for a refund to no avail. Total SCAM!
Ordered a swimsuit on July 17th. I received a confirmation email with an order #. I then received another email stating item had shipped. There was a link to track shipping bit they never sent a tracking #. It is now July 31st and after 4 emails with no response and calling the # they have listed on website, which is a disconnected #, I called my bank and they refunded me my money. Such a shame there are people and companies out there that scam hard working people. Shame on you. Karma karma karma.
I ordered a bathing suit with them 2 months later it still is not here I Was charged twicetried to get in touch with them to make them get one off they still charge me for 2 bathing suits and I still have yet to receive it they will not contact me. I think they are just thieves stealing money
THIS IS A SCAM. THEY TOOK MY MONEY OUT TODAY JULY 27TH 2020. I ORDERED 2 BATHING SUITS FOR $68.93. NO CONFIRMATION EMAIL, NO TRACKING #, INVALID CUSTOMER SERVICE # AND NO RETURNS ON MY EMAILS. I CALLED MY BANK AND I AM GOING TO TRY TO DISPUTE IT. THEY SENT ME AN EMAIL TO GET ME TO ORDER MORE AND TEXTS WITH COUPONS. I AM REALLY UPSET. THEY NEED TO HAVE THEIR SITE TAKEN DOWN.
I ordered swinsuit in June. Received email June 11, 2020 saying “your order is on its way, Please allow 14 to 21 days from this email for you to receive your order. Today is July 27, it has been 6 weeks and I still have not received my order nor response back from company. Conclusion…this is a scam company. Phone # listed on website is not a working number.
Ordered swimsuit from Curvywaves in May 2020. Was charged to my account but never received item. Tried to reach customer service but email and phone number do not exist. Where is my swimsuit. I see many similar complaints from many dissatisfied customers. How can I receive a refund?
I ordered a swimsuit from Curvy Waves back in May 2020. My bank account was charged full amount. I never received the swimsuit. I tried to contact customer service through phone number and email listed on your website. Page not found and not a working phone number. I am terribly upset and disappointed on your company. I see I am not the only person with this problem.
On June 15th I place an order for 3 swimsuits. Received a confirmation from [email protected] stating that due to the high volume expect 1 to 3 weeks for delivery. They charged me and I never received the product. I emailed them on July 13th and again on the 18th and haven’t received a reply. Tracker info they provide just states no shipping information. Total charge was for $98.92.

Ordered my swimsuit on June 26th. I have yet to receive it and no email response. They just are saying it taking awhile due to the lack of help during Covid 19. It has been almost a month with no word. Im out almost $40.00. This is a scammer company and they need to be removed from the internet.
On June 29 I ordered 2 suits, received various emails shortly thereafter and on July 1 the infamous email to please allow 7-14 days… it’s the 19th and I am hoping for the best. I will allow 2 more weeks before I dispute the charge on my credit card.
I ordered a swimsuit from this company on June 22nd, 2020. they confirmed my order, took my $39.29. I never received tracking information for my order, and still to this day have not heard a word from them or received my order. Please help.

I had found this curvy waves on a ad on Facebook. I had found a great deal on a swim suit March 2020. For $59! I got an email stating it’s going to be shipped in 7-14 days! After those days were up. No items. I have emailed them numerous times- no response. Called the number on website- just keeps ringing! Facebook should really keep an on scams. It sounded decent. But I was fooled. I want my refund back! It’s July 2020 with no swim suit and I’m out $59
I had order a swim suit in March 2020, I have no received any notifications on when it will shipped. It’s July 2020 I have not received my swim suit. Email them since March. No contact back. Called the number. Just keeps ringing. I want my $59 back!
I ordered 4 swimsuits worth about $100 on June 17, 2020. I was told to wait 14-21 days for arrival. I’ve emailed several times with no response as well as tried calling the number on the site which was disconnected. I went back to my order on the website and recueced a tracking number that did not work. It claims the package cannot be found nowhere in the system. This company is a scam and needs to be taken down immediately.

I made a purchase from this vendor for a bathing suit on May 23, 2020 with a note that the normal shipping time is 1-3 weeks. On May 26, I received a message that my package had shipped, with a link to a tracking website that I was unfamiliar with (17track.net). This email stated that I should allow 14-21 days for delivery. About a week later, I attempted to use the tracking feature, only to find out that it didn’t work. It requested a tracking number which had not been provided in my email. I didn’t think much of it though and decided to just be patient and wait for my package. On June 19, 2020, I sent an email to the company to request information. At this point, I had waited more than the 3 weeks I was asked to allow and still no product. I received no response to my email. Today (July 7, 2020), I tried to call the phone number on their website, and got a message that the number is not in service. Only then did I look into the tracking service to find that it is a scam service.
Ordered 2 separate orders on June 9th, 2020. Charged my card before shipping most reputable companies only hold money until shipped. Curvy waves fully charged before shipping. Then I finally got shipment information, was given a tracking site with no tracking number. Called 800# no answer. emailed them no response. Was given date of June 25th of delivery. It is July 5th still no merch. I will be going to the bank with hopes to file a dispute with this company. I am trying to patient with the pandemic, but I am not having this big of a delay with any other company. Not a happy customer right now🌚
I too ordered a tankini on May 31, 2020. I have not received anything. Today is July 5, 2020. I have tried their phone number which is disconnected and the email states 404 page does not exist. I’m out 35.98.

I purchased a swimsuit online from Curvy Waves on May 29. It never came. On the website, it lists a tracking company you can go to to track your order. But there’ s no way to get your tracking number and its useless. I emailed the curvy waves company twice at [email protected] but never got a response. I looked on line for reviews. There are a number of negative reviews all saying they never got their product. I paid thru Paypal. When I looked up the transaction it said. I paid a company called Secret Slimwear. Curvy Waves had adds on Facebook & IG. The Web-site appears to be very appealing and reputable. I ordered two one-piece swimsuits received an email confirming my order, but no shipping info. I have emailed multiple times, and it bounces back stating email box is full. I have yet to receive an email reply. The phone number is not a working number, and their FB and IG pages have been deleted! Please do not fall for this FAKE company. In the About Us it claims that Curvy Waves’ founder is Melissa Aurora. I am sure that is fake as well and/or stolen from another profile.

On May 20, 2020 I purchased a bathing suit from Curvy Waves. I got a confirmation e-mail for my order, a note explaining that due to current circumstances (specifically Covid) it could take up to 3 weeks to get my order. Today is June 16, 2020 and I have not received my order, I cannot get a return response on the many e-mails I’ve sent and the phone number they have posted is no longer in service.
A look at reviews show that I’m not the only one who has experienced this same problem, mainly since April of 2020.
They quickly took the amount of the suit out of my credit card and that’s the last interaction I’ve had other than the almost daily e-mails encouraging me to purchase something else. Yes, I want my almost $44 credited back to my card, but most of all, I want others aware of this phony business and their site taken down.
