I was unable to use my computer. A window appeared and said my computer had a very serious virus, or somthing similar. Call a number and a tech would fix the issue. They said they were contracted out by Microsoft. The fee to fix it was $199.99. The company name is Crescologix, LLC with a phone number of 1-855-784-7425. Address of 3651 Lindell Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89103, Technician name–Mack Edward. Email: [email protected]
They would not take a credit card and insisted I would have to pay by check. I gave my bank info and immediately told him I did not want to proceed, but he said it was too late. He took control of my computer and removed the problem and said I can call them for 1 year with any computer issues. I feel this is a scam where they took my computer hostage.
I called my bank and placed a stop payment on the check. Hopefully it can be stopped.
