Type of a scam Credit Cards
This number kept calling my phone and I did not answer because I did not recognize it. I did notice that the first few digits were the same as my number.
After tons of calls, I answered and the man said he was from Card Services. He said that I was able to lower my interest rate on my Am Ex. I said I will speak to American Express directly to do that. He would not stop no matter how many times I repeated that. He even said he knew my card number and started spouting off the first 4 digits of my card (which since I have found out that all Am Ex begin with the same digits) After I restated I would only directly speak to Am Ex (which he claimed to be from) I hung up.
He called me back and yelled " I am going to cancel all your cards. Do you know who I am? I will send you a picture of who I am" I hung up immediately and notified American Express about it.
