Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
I was looking for work on Craigslist in the Gigs section, and found an offer for a mystery shopper. I emailed [email protected], Abraham Roberts. he asked for my contact info, and I gave it to him on 11.18.16. On 11.19.16, I received the following message: "Hello ***, the check will be delivered to you". I received the check and deposited it into my account on 11.21.16. The name on the check was ** *** ***. Then I got a message asking me about Money Gram, and saying my first job would be to evaluate Money Gram, and to send the funds back to him. I tried contacting the company whose name was on the check, but they wouldn’t talk to me. I caontacted my bank, and they said the check was fraudulent, and they canceled it. The scammers phone number is 419-834-7599.
