Type of a scam Debt Collections
I received a phone call from an automated dialing system. Sarah (automated system) claimed to be trying to reach me at home and at work to serve me court papers. Afer being transferred to Richarch, he informaed me the I had an outstanding debt that I was being taken to court for with a Payday Loan company that I have never heard of. Richard had my name and last 4 of my phone number, but all other information was incorrect. I have never had a payday loan, nor have I ever hear of CP Investments, the loan company. Richard informed me that I could settle the debt with him today to avoid being taken to court, and possibly facing criminal charges.
This is 100% a scam, and I did not/will not give my information to these people. He then informed me that he would be signing off on my paperwork for me to be served at my home or workplace, neither of which did he have accurate addresses for. I told him to take me off his call list, and do whatever he felt he needed to do.
