Type of a scam Government Agency Imposter
I got a call at work and was told by a real man with a thick Jersey accent that I qualify for the IRS’s Restart program. He asked if I heard of it. I told him no, but he would have to call back tomorrow for someone who was more qualified. He disregarded that I didn’t know anything and told me to stay on the line as he tried transferring me somewhere else through the phone. That’s when I hung up, feeling like it was a definite scam.
