Type of a scam Employment
Received email from JOE LEAVITT for MYSTERY SHOPPER JOB. Offered $300 per "assignment." Filled out form at myjotform.com. Was contacted on personal email and by phone text message and asked to choose TWO local Wal-Mart’s in my area. Told to email back for confirmation and to expect a package with my assignment in the mail. The Priority Mail 2-Day envelope had a return address from "SANDRA JOHNSON of 330 N LAS VEGAS BLVD, LAS VEGAS NV 89101. Inside the package was nothing but a check for $2950.00 from CONVERTIBLE SOLUTIONS LLC, 3500 SNYDER AVENUE, SEDALIA, MO 65301 and signed by LESLIE USHED (or USUED). I was instructed to cash the check, remove $300 for myself, and buy GIFT CARDS worth $1000 from Wal-Mart. Upon reporting on cleanliness and customer treatment, I was to take photos of the scratched off GIFT CARDS and text them to JOE at 1-732-931-5236.
