I have been approached for the last 5 years with this scam. It is always via texting never a phone conversation. My name is Ton Cruz(fill in any name) I am interested in your pressure washing services or window cleaning services. I just purchased a new home at…. address and want you to give me a estimate for these services. When can you get this done and (ALWAYS DO YOU TAKE CREDIT CARDS). That’s the RED FLAG
I have learned to go to Zillow and see if the house is still for sale. IT ALWAYS IS I call the listing agent and ask if he has heard of said person and the answer is always NO. I confront the texter and that is the last of it. I usually tell them to turn to Jesus for help and for getting an honest job.
