This seems to be the first time Consumer Credit Center has contacted me. They say I owe $42,000 but can settle it for $21,000, only $630 a month for 36 months. I have outstanding credit. This is a complete scam!

We received a letter with a heading of FINAL SETTLEMENT OFFER, dated 8/12/19. This letter showed estimated creditor balances, along with a settlement offer of about 1/2 the balance. We have until 9/12/19 to respond. I checked online to see if they were legitimate, which they are not. I’m concerned about how they got my information, as we never contacted them before.

I wanted to warn you because this letter was sent to my primary residence. The premise of this letter indicates that previous contacts to me were unsuccessful. They gave me a balance quote to pay any or all credit cards would be paid. I later called the business to inquire about the letter on the same day. They began asking me personal credit regarding my credit cards. I responded that I am currently working with another business. When asked what company was handling this–I refused to forward any information about the company or the credit cards. I was specific that I wanted to be removed from their business. I always will call a company–rather them sending me any postal letters.

In the mail, there was a lettter indicating that this business, Consumer Credit Center, was trying to get in contact with me a second time. When looking further into the company, there is no website or email address included. In addition, it states when doing a Google search that they are an A+ rating with the BBB. However, when you go to the ScamPulse.com site it provides the company with an F rating. Upon looking at other reviews, it seems that this company is indeed trying to sway innocent people to call them and get perdident information. The company is also not listed with NY state at all. I would advise others to complete research prior to contacting this or other sketchy companies.

The consumer credit center sends out a letter stating we have debt with them and threatins that we will be placed in collections if we don’t contact them to set up a payment plan. Fact is we have no debt and should not be receiving any type of notice via mail or phone.
