Type of a scam Employment
I was looking for a part time job on indeed and applied to a company called Conergys located in Walnut Creek, CA. After a few days I got a text(I have attached it). So I did what it said I downloaded the app Hangouts and a female name Annaleise Vogel responded claiming that she was one of the hiring managers of Conergy Ltd. She provided me the address of the company and website but not the phone number. I guess I was naive to see right away that this was not right. Because the interview was through an app and was quick and easy. And that I desperately needed a job. That I did see it was all a scam. But thankfully I did not fill in the documentation that they sent me, I didn’t provide them my social security. Unfortunately I did provide my name, address and phone number. So I am scared that they will find me. Please be careful when replying to these, make sure to do research before you provide your information.
