When they, Computer Tech, get you on the phone, they say they want to give you a refund. After talking to you and getting some information from you, they ask for your bank account information. They will transfer you to one of their managers and he will take control of your computer and ask you to put your information of your bank that you bank at to put the refund into your account. They say that when you put the account number and password into the computer, they can not see it. They never had any bank account information so they are asking for you to put that information into the computer while they have control of your computer. When you ask them to put the refund back into the account that they got the money from, they tell you that it came out of your account, but they don’t have the information, so they need you to put it into the computer. I never paid for any computer services and they called me on the phone telling me that they were going to give me a refund. Seeing that they could not put the money back into the account they took it out of tells me that they are trying to scam people to get the account information on any and everybody to take your money.

Years ago I had a laptop and had been scammed by people saying that my computer was infected. I paid money and eventually my laptop was no good and didn’t work. Now I am getting calls saying that if I didn’t pay the caller they would shut down my computer. I know it is a scam as I don’t even have a computer anymore.

I have received numerous calls over the weekend from a person with a mid-eastern accent saying that my computer has issues. I keep saying that I am not home and they keep asking when I will return. I have stopped answering my phone.
