Jamie – Nov 25, 2020

As a new LLC owner I received a scam and phony invoice for $94.00 to make payable to COMPLIANCE POSTER SERVICE, address to send your check to is 1075 Broad Ripple Ave. Ste 326, Indpls, IN 46220. I just wanted to report them and their location. Hopefully they get stopped before innocent people lose money. I did not send money, it was an obvious scam.

Received a letter from Compliance Poster Service threatening that if a check in the amount of $94.00, with a $4.95 Service Fee for Credit/Debit Cards, was not sent for a compliant labor law poster by Sept – 24- 2020, there would be a $7,000 fine.

My company is not a brick and mortar business and has no employees. If needed, the compliant labor law poster can be received for FREE on the OSHA site.

BEWARE. It’s a scam focusing new businesses.

This company is sending letters to new businesses warning them that they’re required to post labor law posters in the workplace. The format of this poster and the language used is deceptive to new business owners who may not know that this company is a non-government agency; this is supplemented by the Please Respond By: that is used on these types of letters. This is a popular tactic used by multiple "businesses" offering services that appear to be official. There is very little language that this letter is not a bill.

The fine print reads that the company has not been approved or endorsed by any agency of the government; if you have bought this poster issue a charge-back on your credit card. If this company is operating in good faith they may include a large notice before the payable check that they are not a government agency AND are not approved by ANY government agency to supply your business with business material.

Got a letter in the mail that said I am required to post a Labor Law Compliance poster in my place of business and it will cost me $94.00 or I’m subject to a $7,000 fine. This piece of paper has my business name and address listed on it. I have ZERO employees. The address they have listed for themselves is of a UPS store in downtown Indianapolis.

This company gives the appearance that they work for the government. They are trying to get me to send them $94 so I can purchase compliance posters to put in my business. Telling me if I don’t post their poster that I could face fines of up to $7000. This is my second letter from them.

Compliance Poster Service was asking for $84.00, even put a document number down for a mandatory labor poster. Last year, we fell for this scam and sent a check. We did actually get a poster, but I remember thinking for $84.00? As a new business owner, we didn’t question it. This year when our mailed payment it was returned by the Post Office as "undeliverable", I did research trying to track down the correct address. That’s when I found of this was a scam. Apparently, we are able to get free labor posters off of our local state government’s website. Who knew? Never too old to learn I guess.

We received a check/money order invoice from a company called Compliance Poster Service. Their address on their paperwork does not match their address on their return mail – which was going to FT LAUDERDALE FL AND HOLLYWOOD FL- aka a huge red flag for a GA license! Do not send them your information! Their address is an exact match with another scam we received recently as well!

The business is asking my business which has no employees to send 94 dollars to their company for them to send me a compliance poster. They have no number or website on the paper and stating a 7000 fine will be sent to me if I don’t pay them. I have never heard of this company and can not find a website or number to verify them. I did research and found that there have been many scams done to small businesses like this. I believe this is fraudulent.

I received a letter In the mail, in the form of a bill for $94, and it was addressed to my LLC. I was suspicious since there is a disclaimer at the bottom of the page stating they are a Non-Government publisher of copyrighted compliance poster compilations and businesses could be fined up to $7000 for not posting these notices.

Company sent out letter threatening up to $7,000 in fines for non-compliance of postering labor law posters (That can be downloaded and printed free by your state agency). They do not mention this obviously and send an invoice for $84 for compliance posters w/ required response dates. EXTREMELY misleading and shady business practice. This is taking advantage of new business owners by resembling government correspondence and threats of fines all over the document.

I received a letter in the mail stating that i had a deadline to pay $94.00 to obtain a labor law compliance poster. These posters are FREE on my state’s website and the fines they say i could pay up to $7,000 is all a scare tactic, evidence they are frauds.

After starting my own sole proprietor LLC, I received a letter in the mail from the Compliance Poster Service, notifying me that I was to purchase a labor law poster from them. Once I sat down and actually read through the whole letter something didn’t seem right about it. There was no phone number or website to contact anybody, just a phony looking email address. Then I noticed that the address for the company was from Atlanta Ga, but the address on the envelope enclosed with the letter to send the check back with was a Ft. Lauderdale address. That raised my suspicions even more, so I decided to google the company and that is when I found on the ScamPulse.com site that it was a scam letter. Luckily I did my research before making out a check, but as I have read not as many people have been that lucky.

I am a sole member LLC, and received an "official-looking" letter in the mail from the COMPLIANCE POSTER SERVICE company, listed in Baton Rouge, LA. I was immediately concerned because I did not think I required the "poster" the company said I needed. The "required" poster details information about unemployment taxes, equal opportunity employment, etc. none of which pertain to my company, since I have NO employees.

I then called the LA Secretary of State, and was told to call the BBB. I also had to call the LA Workforce Department (for another reason), and while on the phone with them, I also inquired about this letter, and the Workforce Dept. also told me to call the BBB.

I called the ScamPulse.com Office listed for the Acadiana area, and was told 1) to fill out the Scam Tracker form, 2) that this company was being investigated by the Baton Rouge Office, and 3) that someone in 2018 had been scammed by this company, put in to be reimbursed, but as of today (March 2019) this person had still not received a reimbursement.

My question to the Baton Rouge ScamPulse.com Office was why is this company still operating in 2019? I was told that the address given on the letter was a virtual address, and that it is possible that when the ScamPulse.com gets close to shutting the company down, the company changes addresses, and makes it difficult to be tracked, and therefore difficult to close down.

Of course I would like the COMPLIANCE POSTER SERVICE shut down, but is this possible? I feel sorry for anyone that might be scammed, because only by the grace of God was I kept from being a victim myself.

I am a new owner of a new LLC business in Georgia and I received a letter in the mail from Compliance Poster Service, 3350 Riverwood Parkway Suite 1900, Atlanta Ga 30339- stating that my business is required by federal law to post a current compliant labor law poster in the workplace. The fee requested is $94.00 and to respond by 2/26/2019 using a check or money order or you could provide your credit card number on the stub to mail back. Also stated failure to pay can result in potential fines in excess of $7,000

First, my business does not have any employees, I am the only member of the business, therefore I am not required to have a compliance poster. So I started researching the name of this company and came across the BBB website and started looking and I saw that this scam has also been reported. I have not sent any money, so they will NOT get me.
