Type of a scam Utility
caller asked to speak with person in charge of paying electric bill. I asked if he worked for Commonwealth Edison and he replied "yes", I was suspicious and repeated my question and he again replied "yes". He was notifying me a of program Commonwealth Edison has to lower my electricity rate. After answering a few of his questions I again asked if he worked for ComEd and he again said he did. He stated someone would call me back to enroll me. When I received the call (773-570-8086) I asked the caller if she worked for ComEd and she told me no. I asked to be placed on do not call list.
