Received a call from an agent representing "comcast , xfinity" Promotional department stating I have been selected as one loyal rewards customer promotion. They stated that they are offering a special discounted fixed pricing of $80 per month for comcast premium cable channels as well as high speed internet. This offer has been available because "Comcast has linked with "Netspend"(prepaid debit card) to offer customers fixed rate of $80 per month cable for one year, oNLY if you agree to pay the first 6 months upfront by loading a Netspend card and making a one time payment of $480. They had our information (home address as well as the last 4 digits of my social security number.)They stated the card would come in the mail in 5 business days. They also left a phone number as well as a extension to call back with the card info for payment. Well 5 days later , Netspend card came

in with my name on it. It would not register online, so I called the promotional Comcast number that was given to me… they immediately asked for the card number and stated it was registered and to go load the card with $480 and call back. Once I loaded the card and called back there was a voicemail… nobody available. I immediately called Comcast customer care and they stated they knew no such promotion. I called Netspend customer service again … no idea what I was talking about. I asked to immediately block the card but they advised to pull the funds first. The available funds were only $469…granted a fee is charge for using the atm ($2.50) every transaction. I was able to retrieve $440 from the atm. Hours later , same day I received a call from the same "comcast promotional dept." I advised them that Comcast nor Netspend did not support this promotion…they immediately hung up. I called back and the agent stated that I needed to listen to him or else he will continue to call back to ask for the funds I agreed to pay. I stated .. I’m reporting this to the authorities.. and again they hung up.
