Type of a scam Charity
Our west side Carmel, IN neighborhood, Village of Mt. Carmel, was blanketed with pink bags today–left in our newspaper mail boxes. They have yellow cards attached that say they will be picking up housefhold goods on Thursday, May 26th and that the donations benefit Operation Love Ministries, with instructions to fill out our name, address and email for a tax receipt. There is no website or phone number given for Operation Love Ministries on the card. A quick Google turned up the Anderson based Operation Love Minstries–which also has limited contact info on their website and I also saw the recent story on CBS4Indy about them where the ScamPulse.com said to contact if anyone else receives a pink bag.
Not sure if it is a scam but the lack of info and the Atlanta connection on the bag seem sketchy. I will not be donating to them.
