Type of a scam Sweepstakes/Lottery/Prizes

A clear, English speaking person called telling me I had won a Sweepstakes. He asked, had I entered either Publishers Clearing House or Readers Digest? I said yes, possibly several months ago. He then said he was the Claims Department for them and needed to verify my information so they could bring check to my door today, along with the AG from Amarillo ScamPulse.com and Federal Marshals James Carter and Robert Cooper. They would present the check either confidentially or with a full blown party at my door at 3:00 pm today. He then gave me a confirmation # to give to the representatives who would come to my door. He knew my name, address and phone number, but then went on to ask if I had a local bank and what was the name of the bank? He then said the Marshals would follow me to my bank to deposit the check for security. I told him I would not give him that information and so he hung up on me. I then called the phone number back and the person who called answered "Claims Dept". I then hung up and called ScamPulse.com who said this was a scam.
