Man with an accent, saying his name was a very american sounding name, called from 1-888-792-4659 and said he was with the Idaho Power Disconnection crew and our buisness at our address was scheduled to have the power disconnected at a certain time (less than one hour away) I told him I believed the owner of the company had the account on auto pay and he said maybe the credit card was changed or something happened to the account so to have the owner call Idaho Power back at 1-888-792-4659 ext.207 and get this taken care of so they could call off the disconnection. The owner then called them back and they tried to tell her that the account was overdue by over $1400 and she had to pay that total before they could call off the disconnect. She did not pay them and told them to go ahead and shut it off. He then said he would call back in 20 minutes and he would try to get it overridden but we obviously have not heard back from him. Idaho Power was contacted and it was confirmed that this was a scam.
