Type of a scam Employment
I was mailed a Mystery Shopper job offer. The letter included a bogus $2000 check drawn on the TD bank and made out by CJR Wholesale Grocers – a legitimate company located in Mississauga. The letter included a phone number to call in for a security code to activate the check. The letter was signed by a Henry Graham. The envelope had no return address but the bogus letterhead gave an 813 Douglas Street address in Victoria, BC (British Columbia) which turns out to be the location of a 7-eleven store.
