Good afternoon,
I received a text in regards to an application I thought to your company Cintas. They requested I communicate through Telegram which I found odd, but did already have the app on my phone for other reasons. I provided general information, but grew suspicious when I was told that I would receive a check via email to electronically deposit into my account to purchase equipment on behalf of the company to perform the tasks associated with the position. I attempted to locate the company to confirm that this is actually their hiring practice. After researching the information provided, and reading the responses and concerns outlined here, I believe that this opportunity was too good to be true. Please be careful moving forward when apply and responding to ads listing job opportunities and replies from individuals through uncertain means. I have been employed over 30 years and fell for this unconventional means of communicating.

I also received the same email from Philona Hopkins who sent me a link to an app called telegram with an interview with a fake hiring manager named Glenn Elwood. It seems as though they are both located in the UK ( from the names) or native of the UK. Scam artist!

You can choose to work during the morning, afternoon and even during the evening. The regular pay-rate is $25/hr and you will be paid $20/hr while under training. 2. Compiling, verifying accuracy and sorting information to prepare source data for computer entry.
3. Reviewing data for deficiencies or errors, correcting any incompatibilities and checking output.

KEY REQUIREMENT:

Applicants for this role will need to be familiar with relevant software packages and have a good typing speed. They will need to have strong analytical skills and excellent organizational skills. They will also need to be able to operate other forms of equipment such as printers and a tape machine. They should also be able to work to deadlines and use their own initiative.

After weeks of applying for jobs and trying to get off unemployement after being laid off for COVID I tried to see if this was an actual offer. The "Interview Manager" gave an actually company website but when I called to company to confirm prior to giving information they informed me they did not have any affiliation with these people. They are taking advantage of desperate people trying to provide for themselves and family.
