Type of a scam Credit Cards
Called and said my mother was being sued for 4033.23 dollars for an unpaid credit card from June 2012 (which is when my father passed). Would settle today for 500.00 if she paid within the hour or she has to pay the whole sum. My mother said she would pay with her CC and they said no, checking account. She was scared and said she would call back. I (daughter) called and it had changed a bit. Pay $600.00 to close out or she will be summons to court. I ask for information and got very little. Told her we would talk it over and get back with her. She said we had on hour again. I did a research on the phone number and found that it was an individual from Westwigo La, and not from Kentucky like it said on called ID. We called Chase bank and reported it. They will follow up.
