Type of a scam Tech Support
My computer screen froze! And a message from "Microsoft" said my computer was infected with viruses, Trojans, and malware, and that it would get into my bank accounts, FB page, etc. I called the number… which was STUPID! And I listened, and fell for it! Finally gave him my bank acct. number! He could access $300 transfer to their account to fix my computer! DO NOT EVER FALL FOR THIS!
I then cancelled it, because I was so afraid it was a scam! I googled it this morning, and SURE ENOUGH, it was! I have to cancel my checking acct.… and I reported it to the FTC… They have called me 3 times now, and I finally told them YOU GUYS ARE A SCAM, AND IF YOU CALL ME BACK I AM CALLING THE DENVER POLICE! He said "NO we are not, and I will refund your money"… I said "No, you are not even getting any"…. And to not ever call back.
