Type of a scam Employment
I responded to an employment listing via Linkedin. Laura Green directed me to email Kathleen Kelly as she would be my "manager". I went through the interview process and signed the offer letter. The scammer Kathleen Kelly and "HR" Twylah Sperka sent me a check so that I can buy equipment for my at-home office as this job is suppose to be remote. I received the check of $6,350.75 and deposited it. Afterwards, she instructed me to use that to purchase 6 money orders of $1000 so that I can purchase the equipment when I meet the vendor tomorrow. This is very suspicious and I realize that this is a scam.
