Type of a scam Online Purchase
Searched for a Cubs World Series sweatshirt for a Christmas present. Search engine directed me to this website. Made my purchase and was suppose to be charged $59.99. Received 1st email stating that the company was waiting for a check payment before my order would be shipped. 2nd email stated the order confirmation. 3rd email from the company stating that my payment had been processed along with an alphabetic reference number.
Then I receive an alert from my credit card Co that I was being charged $63.74 from Hiaxiangrui Co Ltd. in Beijing China.
Immediately called the credit card company after doing a thorough search of the website… no contact phone number and the contact address was listed in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
