Type of a scam Phishing
The lady that called asked if we were the Fire Dept (which was correct). I said yes, she then asked our address, I confirmed it was correct, she then asked if our head person was (she gave a name I’ve never heard). I told her no, she asked who was our manager. I told her we don’t have a manager, we have a Fire Chief. She wanted his name, I gave it to her. She then asked who was the owner. I said we don’t have an owner. She then asked who is the next person in charge. I asked "what are you talking about?" she said "who’s the manager?" I said, this is a government office, we don’t have managers and owners. She said "who’s next in charge?" and I said there were many other chiefs in the chain of command and I wouldn’t give her all the names. I finally asked what this info was being used for and she just said "to update our records". I again asked who she was with and she said Chamber of Commerce. I asked "which is where exactly?" and she said "uh…" and then hung up.
