Type of a scam Debt Collections
My wife and I recently have been receiving phone calls from (855)337-8594 advising us that they are a "mediator" called CFS and are attempting to collect a debt for Bell Capital Corp. Who supposedly provided a "RO2" loan for me. They could not provide a date of the loan or any address for the business (their own or Bell Capital). The person did, however, have the name of my prior banking institution and the name of a prior employer. They were very aggressive and threatening to my wife and I. They could not tell me any reason why the loan didn’t show on my credit report or any current information I possess (address, current employer etc). I did not take out a payday loan at the time period they advised nor was I employed by the employer they provided at that time. It was an obvious scam and when confronted that it was a scam the person did not deny that it was and hung up.
