Since been in the process of registering my business, I’ve received multiple letters demanding money for a certificate of status request form.

Received an "official" Certificate of Status request form after forming a business in FL…inferring they were representing the Secretary of State..out of my ignorance I completed the form and sent the 68.42 to receive my "certificate" ..have since stopped payment on check Have received 2 other "official" Certificate of Status requests forms from 2 other "filing services"….it’s all a scam…

I received in the mail a letter that said across the top
2017 CERTIFICATE OF STATUS REQUEST FORM
it had my document number and my business name and address
and to make a payment in the amount of $ 68.42
payable to: C.F.S.
with a Personal Check, Business Check, Money Order
Mailed to C.F.S.
