Type of a scam Online Purchase
This site claims they will remove an Apple iPhone, that has been locked out from activation by a previous owner, from the Apple database. I have several of these I received during electronic recycling events and they are useless without unlocking them.
When I put in my device info it told me it cost $27. That was a fair price. After paying, they sent me a link to a page that said I needed to pay another $42 to finish the unlock. I sent them an email saying I wanted my money back as the phone wasn’t worth $69 as I would still have to repair it after unlocking. They replied that because of the work they had already done there was no refund.
I had to get my credit card company involved to get my money back.
