The caller was a woman who claimed to be from a company called CCI which I’ve never heard of. She claimed that I do business through one of the third parties who she claimed to be associated with. She kept me on the line until I made the mistake of responding "yes" when she asked if I could hear her. Then the line immediately went dead. I’ve heard about scams where they try to record you saying the word "yes" and I believe this was one of those.

I answered the phone. The caller was a women who knew my name. When she asked if she was speaking to (my name) I replied YES. The call then abruptly ended. The call was on 18 December 2017 at 642pm.

Received a phone call, I answered "hello". The other individual asked "-my first name-?" And I said ""ya". Now concerned I might be a victim of a scam and will contact my bank first thing on Monday and watch my accounts over the weekend. Incredibly worried just because I answered my phone.

Scammer called home of my mom unfortunately because of her age she can’t remember what they asked her but she said she did tell the lady that she would send them $20. The next day my sister also got a call from the same number when she answered the lady stated her first name and asked if it was her, my sister did not answer so the lady said "are you still here?’ to which my sister said what do you want & the lady immediately hung up.

This was one of those Robo-calls that tries to get you to say "yes", as some sort of verbal agreement. They started off the phone call by just saying my first name. I said yes, then the call went on and I realized it was a recorded message. I didn’t hear the entire message, but she said something about women’s cancer.
At this time, I have no damages from this experience (it just happened less than 2 hours ago). I don’t know what, if anything, will come of this. I just read that I should place a complaint immediately.

My Wife and I just returned from an out-of-state trip. While we were gone, we received six voice messages from the two phone numbers referenced above. Some messages started with a short recorded message that was quickly interrupted by a live woman’s voice simply stating my first name in a question format (i.e. Joe?). This morning, I answered a similar phone call. When the woman caller stated my name, I stupidly answered "Yes", and then she hung up. I fear this is a version of the "Can You Hear Me" scam which I had previously read about. I have the dates and times of each call, and several recorded messages.

These people call me repeatedly—hourly! They say they represent a Medicare supplement insurance company. I cannot get a human and cannot call them. They call me from 2 numbers 501 238-3042 and 404 891-6372. When I call these numbers it does not even ring.

I started receiving this week alone 20 some from CCI on caller ID from 501-238-3042 and 19 yesterday, 5-16 and we didn’t pick up, but it was almost as if they were demanding that we pick up. They usually don’t say anything on the answering message, but last night they said Hello, are you there, or how are you today? Last night it sounded like a person (not automated) when they asked are you there.
