Type of a scam Debt Collections
I keep receiving phone calls from a company claiming to be CBS Allegations attempting to collect a debt accrued in 2011 on an account in my name. The account is with an institution that I used to bank with; however, I closed my accounts with them in 2010. The woman claims to be forwarding documentation of the debt but I have yet to receive any confirming paperwork. When I attempted to contact them back I was sent to a full voicemail box that indicated no affiliation with a legitimate company.
