I was contacted by my cousin because she needed someone to verify her cashapp account so she could get it switched to a personal account like how it should. The people called my phone and asked me to turn off my face verification and download the Quiksupport app. They then asked me how did I have a bank account connected to my cashapp and if so how much was in it. They then proceeded to provide me with “confirmation codes” to send to my cousin which she in return sent to them. After a while of waiting for it to be confirmed, the call disconnected and I was no longer able to get in touch with them. I was robbed of almost $3000 on cashapp and my bank account combined. I was scammed along with my cousin who originally attempted to contact them. I am willing to talk to the news media but I would not like my name or face to be shown if they do decide to put it on television or the internet.
