I received a bill from Care/Med Specialty Pharmacy, which included Invoice#,Rx #, Date filled, Policy #, Group # (all phony). Description was Euflexxa 1% 2mg/2mL Syringe; NDC #55566-4100-01; Qty 6; Patient Responsibility $218.87. When I called the answering machine was realistic, assigning # to department. I spoke to one person & was routed to another. I said the bill was in error & he said my doctor had ordered it & to find my account he needed my SS#, at which point I told him this is a scam & I would report them. I’ve worked in an OR for 35 years & am very aware of how official this all appears, which is why others may find it official.
