call for debt collection of old 5 years payday loan fees
claimed old debt from my daughter said they were pre litigation for payday loan fees not paid , without calling to confirm the story with my daughter I gave credit card number and pin to pay the debt not wanting her credit to be ruined . I got an explanation that they bought collections from company to settle for half what was owed .
nothing in writing just under duress and stress in a hurry at the time . Now my credit card company will not block charges even if I cancel this card and open a new one saying charges will transfer over to new card what can I do ?
