They call theirselves Card services. If you ask them for the name of their business that’s what they say. I ask for phone number and they give me the 1-800-847-2911 which is the number if you need help on the back of your credit card. They call as much as 3 times a day. Every time the number that comes up on my caller I.D. is different. When tried to call back the number they say it has been disconnected. They even use local numbers with names like James Dung or whatever. They want you to think someone else is calling. Please if you can do anything to stop these calls otherwise I am seriously thinking of removing my phone. I believe they are trying to get my credit card number.

These people continue to call nonstop. It is serious harassment issue and they call to try to get personal information. The recording says something like ‘congratulations on improving your credit and I am approved for a credit at better interest rates’. The thing that bothers me the most is they use the first three prefixes of my phone number but then the last 4 are rearranged in many different ways. Anytime I actually answer the phone and get to a live person, I have tried to say stop calling me, you don’t have permission to call this number, I’m reporting you to the police and I’m calling the police. As soon as they hear any part of that they hang up so they have the right to keep calling. I have now realized that the more that I answer the phone the more often they call. There are times that they will call here anywhere between 3 end up to 5 times in one day. It’s left me in tears on many occasions. I have reported them to Xfinity tech support because they are my phone service provider and they forwarded over to their Security Assurance Center on several different occasions. They have made their own report and they gave me the call blocking feature but that only holds up to 25 numbers and I have already filled that up with 95% being from this same scam. I downloaded an app called Nomorobo but that did not stop them from getting through. I have double-checked to make sure that I am on the National Do Not Call Registry and at the same time I have also made 2 reports to Federal Trade Commission. I spent time with a representative and a supervisor and they told me that this is an ongoing issue and it is something they’ve heard before. A few weeks after that report the calls stopped for about 2 months and now they’re back to calling me multiple times a day. I got a new phone number March 17, 2018 so it’s been going for over a year. Prior to getting this new number they were doing the same thing on my cell phone but after a while the cell phone company just blocked the number but you can still see that they’re trying to get through. It always sounds like somebody of an Indian descent and sometimes this voice sounds familiar every time.

On December 28, 2018, I received call from Michael Davis who said he was with Card Services. He asked if I had any high interest, high credit limit credit cards that he could help me with. He said he could get a Discover card with 0% interest for 5 years. He seemed to already know what credit cards I had as he knew the last four numbers of the cards I referenced. After I agreed to his proposal, and he had my credit card information, he said he would call me back on Wednesday with progress information. He did call back on that day to say everything was progressing well. On January 3.,
I received an email from Discover saying a pending Uber charge was denied. I called Discover to tell them the charge was not made by me. I also found that $12,600.00 had been transferred from one of the credit cards I had given Mr. Davis to my existing Discover card. Later that day, I received a fraud alert from Chase that charges were made against my Chase credit card. I called Chase, and they immediately stopped my account and took action. Today I called Mr. Davis to ask how things were going. In the course of conversation, I said there were some strange things occurring with the credit cards numbers I had given him. I told him of the fraudulent charges and the phone line went dead. I tried calling back several times later, and got no answer, just a message that I should leave a message floor Mr. Davis, which I did. He has not returned my call, and I do not expect that he will. The phone number he gave is 813-519-77299.

I first got a phone call from card services. they said they had a program that I qualify for because I’m on a fixed income, and could benefit from a debt consolidation program. She said she can reduce the debt by entering the credit cards I wanted into the program and they will get rid of the debt in 6-9 months, for a fee. She said there is no "out of pocket" fee. But the fee gets added onto my total debt amount on my account. She then transferred me over to David Cosgrove, and he is my financial advisor from CSA Planning. He took my card information that I wanted to enroll in the program. He then said that after they pay off the debt, they will close the credit cards out for me. They then had someone from the Jaxson Group to confirm that I agreed to the fees for the program. The total in fees was approximately $9,000. Lawrence told me to dispute the charges because there was a problem on their end with processing the fees. He offered to lower them down to $8780, for the inconvenience of the fees not going through. He also asked me if I had a different card to put the fees that had sufficient enough funding to go through, in order to get the program started. I ended up paying $9,000 on that card.

On Wednesday Dec 5th, my father (88 years old) received a seemingly honest call from someone representing themselves as CapitolOne (card services). They were promising him a lower interest rate & when they requested his credit card account number he believed they were being truthful & gave the woman his information. The woman then promplty then hung-up.
He then realized it was suspicious & called CapitolOne they immediately deactivated his card.
I then called CapitolOne later that day just to verify the deactivation & was told it was deactivated & that I should report the incident with them on their abuse site & with the BBB, as I am doing here.
It was suggested I try to look at his phone record & deterimine if I could, the fraudulent number that had called.
He has caller ID & I did extract this number– 616-980-2030. When I googled this, I got a long list of info about this being a scam.

Man called said he was calling from Card Services for my Master Card. Said I have made on time payments for 8 months and always paid more than the minimum so they were lowing my interest rate. Ask for security purposes for me to give him my credit card number so they could verify. I told him I was not comfortable with that, at which point he became argumentative. He said I have your card number right here I just need you to verify it. So my response was then you tell me the number and I’ll tell you if you’re right or not. He did not like that and at that point rather than listen to his nonsense I disconnected the call. Strange thing about this is they contacted me on my work phone number. I received a phone call at 11:21 AM on Friday, March 16th that opened up with an automatic response about my credit card company trying to contact me. I selected 1 to be put on the phone with someone. I was dispatched to a man identifying himself as card services. As this isn’t something my credit card company normally does, and he opened up with a slew of questions, I let him know I needed to know where he was from. He kept repeating "card services". Overall he was aggressive. I asked him, "From what card company?" He responded that they were card services working with a variety of companies and named a few (Chase, Capital One). Knowing that none of the card companies do this, I let him know that wasn’t possible. He replied, "Well you must not know what’s possible." At that point, I hung up.

I put my cell number on the FCC do not call list about a year ago. I have been getting a frequent and unsatisfactory phone call from Card Services for about 4 -5 months. Offering to lower my interest rate on my credit card. Wanting me to verify my card expiration date. I ask questions and he gets pissed of and starts yelling nasty profanity. Telling them not to call me back usually gets this angry foreigner on the line. When I refuse to to give him info after asking him why he thinks I can’t do that type of business on my own and telling him he is a fraud his profanity is almost comical. I still don’t want a phone plan that can’t do anything to help.

We received multiple calls from a robot saying that our interest rates could be lowered and were directed to press 1 to speak to an agent. Typically we hang up but the calls were becoming an annoyance. Today my colleague pressed 1 to ask an agent to remove us from their list. When they requested to be removed, the agent said "no" and told them that it wasn’t a sales call. When asked to speak to their manager, the agent replied "he’ll kill me." Eventually that call ended.
The robot called back and my colleague pressed 1 again in hopes of being connected to a different and person. They received the same agent from the initial call who promptly hung up on him.
The robot called back a THIRD time (from a third different number) and this time I answered. I asked for the company’s name ("Card Services") and the agent started asking me about my credit profile and how I could save money by having my interest rates reduced. I asked to be removed from their calling list, was told no, then I requested to speak to a manager. The agent (same from the first few calls) told me there was no manager. I asked him who he reported to.
That’s when he told me that he would remove me from his calling list if I "spent the night" with him. He said he would be willing to pay me to sleep with him. He kept repeating that. I told him that I would report him and hung up.

I have had several phone calls from different numbers about qualifying for a lower interest rate on my credit card, and that it will expire soon. I usually ignore them. I pushed 1 to talk to a person and a lady answered "Card Services". She asked me if I would like to lower my interest rate and I told her I only have a Hibdon Tires card and don’t owe anything. When I told her I don’t have a visa or mastercard that she was claiming to be with she hung up on me. I called the number (217) 648-1122 right back and it said that it was disconnected and no longer in service. I called my bank, because I have a Visa Debit card and they said to call the BBB.

Received a call from 248-240-8595 (caller ID said Michigan) on my cell phone. The man (who was NOT American) said he was calling from Card Services. I asked him to remove my name from his call list and he got angry. He threatened me and made vulgar comments, much too vulgar to repeat. I asked him again to stop calling me and he continued with threats. He told me he’d call me 100 times a day.
This is obviously a scam, as any real company would be respectful and not threaten or say sexually explicit things to their customers.

Card Services calls implying that they are your credit card company. They say that they will give you a reduced interest rate on your existing credit card. In my case they promised a 6.9% fixed interest rate, which is 3.0% lower than what I am currently paying. Then the phising (fishing) begins.
After I gave them my credit card information I realized that they were Card Services, not Bank of America. They said that for the priviledge of this interest reduction I would have to pay $996. When I refused to do this they threatened to bill my credit card or turn this over to a credit collection agency.
At that point I hung up on them and they have been harassing me all afternoon with phone calls.
I called Bank of America and ask them what I should do. They said wait and see what happens.

Received a call from this company offering to reduce my credit card interest rates to 6.99%. Fee was $996.00 for this service, to be paid over5 months starting June 9. Worked with them with 2 of my credit cards. Had 3-way calls with 2credit card companies and the man from Card Services introduced himself as my financial advisor. As the proceedings went on, I felt very uncomfortable. Things seemed a little odd. We had a phone appt. today to finish the work we started yesterday. When I called the company, the answering machine said, "Thank you for calling—,
please dial the extension now". No company was mentioned. I felt more and more uncomfortable, so I called back and told them that I changed my mind and wanted to cancel their service. I was told that was impossible as they already put the work in gear. They also told me that when speaking to the credit card companies, they helped me authorize a balance transfer for a 0% APR, and helped me reduce one APR from 13%to 10.9%. I explained that I could’ve done that myself, but their promise was to get me a 6.99% interest rate for the rest of my life. I told them I didn’t want to proceed with this, but they insisted that there was no way out of our agreement. I told them that we had just made the arrangement 24 hours ago and that I should be able to change my mind. They were very unprofessional and I feel certain they are not legitimate. We argued and I eventually hung up. They continued to call me many times and then left a message telling me they were sending this to collections.

HI, I called the fraud department of my credit card company to report activity I experienced Monday, in talking with him he requested that I submit a written claim to my local BBB.
Over the past few month (more than 6 months) I have received pre-recorded phone calls from something called "Credit Services". The phone number that shows up on my caller-id is typically a local number that is a cellular phone number. I have called the numbers back at times to see who answers on the other end and it is typically a person who owns a cell phone with this number. Monday, when I received this call from phone number (765) 426-9391 around 10:43 AM EDT I proceeded to hit the "9" button as the message told me to which then put me in contact with a live person. Upon reaching this person I requested information as to why I was being contacted by them, how they got my contact information and how to be removed from this list. The person proceeded to tell me that they have been hired by Experian credit reporting agency on behalf of Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express to work with card holders to lower interest rates and payments in an effort to pay balances off faster. This person proceeded to tell me he needed to confirm my Capital One credit card information and he gave me the last 4 of my credit card information and asked me to confirm the card number starting with "5" which is my Mastercard and "4" for my Visa along with the last 4 digits of my SSN. I, at that point, asked if why he needed to confirm this if he already had my card information. He then went on to tell me he understands my hesitation but again, he has been hired by Experian on behalf of the credit card company’s to contact me and work with me on making these changes. At this point I confirmed the card numbers and expiration dates for both of my credit cards. Within a few seconds of this information being provided by me, he came back with my balance and most recent payment information. Along with this information he provided my current interest rate on each of these cards, he then told me he needed to forward this information along to the department who reviews the accounts and works out the new interest rate and payment. He then asked if he could call me back in 10 minutes, due to work related commitments I told him I would not be available until after 3PM EDT.
Around 4PM I received a call back from (317) 200-0001 and the person announced themselves as Mark Hudson, employee number 0011 which he then claimed to be the last 4 digits of his SSN. At this point he proceeded to repeat my balance, payment and interest rate information back to me and then proceeded to tell me his company’s 3 commitments:
1. Save me up to $2000 every 6 months by lowering my interest rates and monthly payments therefore allowing more of my payment (I typically pay more than the month minimum) towards the overall balance.
2. Lower my current interest rate
3. Lower my current monthly minimum payment
I asked if these commitments would be provided to me in writing and he confirmed, yes, it would be mailed the next business day. He then went on to try to explain to me how they are paid for this service being offered to me by this company. This was very hard to understand because this person had a very thick accent but it had to do with they would charge my credit card at some point. This charge would be ~$1800. They would not be collecting debit or checking account information from me to pay this expense, it would be charged directly to my credit card.
To start this process, he wanted to confirm my names on the card by asking me this information and my mailing address, again asking me for this information, I confirmed both of these pieces of information. At this point, my office phone rang and I told him this, he insisted on holding as oppose to calling me back or providing me with a phone number to call him back-I put him on hold and then hung up on him. Within 10 minutes of me doing that I was called back from the following numbers:
(317) 200-0001 (2 times)
(800) 955-7070 (3 times)
(317) 200-0001 (2 times) leaving 2 messages that was captured by my voicemail (no actual voice message).
I have not heard back from this person since 4/25/2016 when I spoke to him around 4PM EDT and I immediately called my credit card company to report this to the fraud protection group.
I have talked to several people regarding this incident and these initial recorded phone calls are being made with the same scenario in that they are coming from what appears to be local cell phone numbers.
If you need additional information, please feel free to contact me either via email at *** or ***
Hopefully I have provided enough information that you are able to take recourse on these people.
Thank you,

"Credit Card Services or Card Services or Credit Services." Call on my home phone by "Anna Santou" offering to lower my interest rates. She seemed to have my credit report already. Conference call made to my card, my information was shared, then had to e-sign promise to pay 4 monthly installments or $223.50 for the service. Supposed to get me 6.99% for life or 0% for 60 months. After i never received those interest rates in the mail I knew. I closed all my account. The card we were working on is not the card the fraudulent charges showed up on. She was able to open another credit card account in my name also. Now I am being harassed on my cell phone and threatened to be sent to collection which will truly mess up my credit. I am not sure if I am liable since I signed something, which I have no paperwork or proof of what was promised.

Repeated calls from *** at *** ***, offering to effect my credit card rates, of which they know nothing about. The automated phone call uses a caller ID that is my own number and name. I find the hijacking of my number illegal.
Once you talk to a person, I suspect in India or such, they refuse to remove your name from the call list or hang up when you ask to speak to a supervisor to have your number deleted.
I am most troubled with their ability to hijack my phone number and have it displayed on my caller ID. What else can they do with that number?
