Type of a scam Tech Support
Brandon Whitehead from Captial Bank Card called a reservations phone line for a popular hotel chain (managing 3 restaurants in house) asking to speak with the manager of the restaurant that hasn’t managed in 8 years. I asked him to remove us from his list, but he ignored me, didn’t acknowledge my request and continued on. Then I asked him again and he stated it wasn’t a sales/marketing call, and said that he was with merchant link and we had a level 1 alert. He gave me a direct line number to his office at 480.339.0849, but was calling from a local area code. I asked if his direct number was a cell and he declined stating that is his office where he is calling from. I told him I will have our IT manager reach out to him. I threw away his info.
