Type of a scam Rental
I responded to an ad on Craigslist for an apartment that seemed like a great deal.
I received a call from Blake from Capital Advertisements and he told me about the apartment, which sounded great. When I asked how to view the apartment, I was told I had to fill out the application online, pay the application fee, AND THEN they would let me make an appointment to view the apartment. They also wouldn’t show me any other photos of the apartment either OR give me a building address.
They’re asking for MONEY and PERSONAL INFORMATION via their website before they even show the apartments they were "renting." When I told them it sounded like a scam, they got VERY defensive and hostile, and started threatening me before I hung up.
Apartments should NEVER ask for money before showing the available unit.
