I received a message on my home phone from someone from the Canyon County Sherriff’s office. I returned the call and was told that I had missed Federal Jury and that there was a bench warrant and a contempt of court against me. They told me that I could go to the Sherriff’s office and they would help me get the warrant lifted and that by showing compliance they would help with the proceedings. At the time the "Officer" told me that he would only be there for another hour and if I wanted to another option was to take care of it over the phone. They needed a Moneypak and that it would only be redeemed at a kiosk and I would retain the card and it wouldn’t be transferred until I actually scanned the card at the kiosk. They gave me a court date said they would contact me by Friday to let me know what the findings were. They even had the name of a known judge that was over this case. Unfortunately I fell for it hook, line and sinker.
