Type of a scam Travel/Vacations
Recording called pretending to be a person who couldn’t hear me. Said I won a free vacation and if it was OK that they asked me a few questions, trying to get me to agree. It’s a recent problem in NY.

I saw this type of call referenced in news reports about the "Can you hear me?" scam. The female in the recording mentioned dropping her headset. I don’t recall if I was asked if I could hear her or if I ever said "Yes." She started talking about some travel offer, so I said I wasn’t interested and wanted to be removed from their call list. (I’m already enrolled on the Do Not Call Registry.) I finally realized it was a recording when the voice just kept on going. At that point I hung up. Obviously, I didn’t provide any personal or financial information. I got the call about 12 hours ago, and my accounts so far show no suspicious activity.
