Type of a scam Tax Collection
A computer generated letter with perforated edges with no return address, only the title "Bureau of Tax Enforcement" and a postal scan code.
The letter continues to reference an "outstanding Tax debt" (that we have actually paid in full to the real IRS) and indicates that we have 5 days to pay in full or face fines and the potential revocation of US Passport and State Driver’s License. There is no return address, no Tax payer ID number, no IRS Letter ID, just a vague threat that we have committed a federal crime by [not paying] our overdue taxes. (which we have – Ha!)
These Bottom-feeders need to be stopped because I am certain they are trapping unwary individuals who actually do owe money to the IRS.
Additionally, there are grammar mistakes throughout the document.
