I received an email from my college NDSU that there was an employment opportunity, that was offering $1000 a week. So, I filled the application out not thinking much would come from it. A week later while I was at home, I had gotten a text asking what the status was of the shopper assignment delivered to me. I didn’t know what that meant so I just ignored it. Then I saw that a package had been delivered to me, overnight with that sheet inside, with a cashiers check with $998 on it. That if I were to go buy google play gift cards worth $650-750 I would get payed $248, and an extra $100 if I did it in 24 hours. I was very confused if this was real at first, but talked to my mom and we took it to the bank to see. We took it out in cash and and there was no hesitation at the bank that it was fake, then I did what it asked to do. Then I was emailed a day later from a person named Bruce saying that "it was a job well done, and to purchase a cashiers check of $10 from my bank today payable to WALMART INC. And then to take a picture and send it to them." I don’t have my bank near me so I couldn’t go and get it. The next day I received another package in the mail asking to do another task, this time with $2500. So I went and deposited it in, the bank said they could only deposit half of it and it would take a couple days for the other half to go through. So I checked my statement, and it said that there was $1500 in there, what should be there. A couple hours later I checked again and my account had -999. While I at the same time kept getting texts asking if I had completed the task yet, and to do it as soon as possible. The bank was trying to figure it out, but they didn’t know why it was negative, but they did place a hold on the $2500. That is when we became very suspicious and starting looking things up to see if other people have gone through this. All reviews on this were saying that it was a scam and that they are going to take money from you. We are currently in the process of stopping the $2500 from being deposited at all, everything in my account on hold and I am still negative 996 dollars.
